Dianne Gayarre Tannahill, 77, of Canyon passed away on Saturday April 8, t023 at her home in Canyon Texas with family at her side. Celebration of Life Services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Union Congregational Church of Friona with Jeff Procter officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Dianne, or Gaye as she was known by many, was born October 5, 1945 in Greenwood Mississippi to E.T. and Virginia Jennings. She moved with her parents to Friona at the age of 1 year old. She graduated from Friona High School in 1964.
In 1985, she returned to West Texas State University where she got her BA and took her first job as a teacher at Tierra Blanca Primary school in Hereford Texas. She continued to touch the lives of children as she taught K-3rd grade gifted and talented children. This job was not a job for her. It was a passion. That passion was evident through the dedication that she had for enriching the lives of children and encouraging curiosity and creativity. She had a talent for using art to convey lessons and create an excitement for learning. Her impact on children throughout her life is far reaching. Her mark will be left through the young lives she touched along her path as an educator.
In 1991, she moved to Canyon with Larry Morgan where she continued to enjoy experiencing interesting places and activities. She and Larry enjoyed traveling to Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico, and Nevada where she enjoyed historical markers, national forests, and of course little shops along the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents ET and Virginia Jennings. Those to carry on her legacy include her daughter Lory Anne Tannahill of Wylie Texas, her son John Mark Tannahill of Dallas Texas, and her love, Larry Morgan of Canyon. She is survived by her younger sisters Teto Milner and Dale Milner of Friona and Jo Anne Danner and J.D Danner of Amarillo, and baby brother Rick Jennings and late Linda Kay Carson of Lubbock. She leaves nieces and nephews, Mendi Spinks, Charlie Milner, Chris Hill, and Lindsay Irwin, and 10 great nieces and nephews. She was loved by the Morgan Family Lisa Hall and Jeff Morgan and 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Fred "Pops" Lookingbill, 84, of Friona, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Friona. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel in Hereford, Texas, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.
Fred was born September 25, 1938, in Hereford, Texas, to L.B. and Eva (Noland) Lookingbill. Fred graduated from Hereford High School in 1958, where he was known for being a great athlete in football and excelling in basketball. He married Sandy Albright on May 7, 1970, in Summerfield, Texas. He and Sandy's journey consisted of several homes from Texas up to Nebraska, and finally back to Texas, where they chose Friona as their final destination. Fred enjoyed working in the cattle industry for most of his life. He was the treasurer for the Class of 1958 and helped organize the class reunions. Fred enjoyed team roping as a header, playing golf, and socializing with his buddies, cooking, tending to his vegetable garden of black-eyed peas, okra, and tomatoes, and driving his golf cart around Friona, but his greatest love was his family and especially his grandchildren. Fred's sense of humor, orneriness, smile, and presence will be dearly missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandy Lookingbill of Friona, Texas, his children, Alan McCright and his wife Lynne of Canyon, Texas, Kelly Lookingbill and his wife Tonya of Friona, Texas, Kurt Lookingbill of Hereford, Texas, Kimberly Fry and her husband David of Ft. Worth, Texas, Andy McCright and his wife Viki of Parkland, Florida, and Alison Martin and her husband Shorty of Aspermont, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Bradley, Jim, and Bill Lookingbill, a sister, Ann Clearman, and a son-in-law, Ned Swink, and several aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.

Isidra Mares Pacheco, 88 of San Jeronimo, Mexico passed away April 5, 2023 in Lubbock. Isidra was born May 15, 1934 in San Pedro Piedra Gorda, Mexico to Francisco Mares Chavez and Aurelia Rodriguez Noriega. All of her life, she has been a very hard working, independent person caring for her family as the true matriarch. Friends and family were cared for as well as her beloved farm animals and a variety of plants.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Antonio Pacheco De La Riva, 1 son-Martin Pacheco Mares, 2 brothers-Nicholas and Fausto Mares, 1 sister-Maria Mendoza, and 1 grandson-Alexander Delgado.
Those to mourn her passing include 2 daughters-Maria Teresa Nieto and husband Francisco of Bovina, and Sofia Pacheco and Jose Delgado of Rockwood, Tennessee, 4 sons-Leopoldo Pacheco Mares of Los Angeles, California, Jose Dolores Pacheco Mares and wife Ma del Rosario and Antonio Pacheco Mares, all of Greeley, Colorado, and Francisco Javier Pacheco Mares and wife Mariana of San Jeronimo, Mexico, 40 grandchildren, and 65 great-grandchildren.
