Luis Medrano Vasquez, 67 of Friona passed away at his home surrounded by family on November 16, 2023. A private memorial will be held by family and friends. Arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Luis was born to Manuel Vasquez and Manuela Medrano on July 31st 1956 in Georgetown, TX. He was known to many as either "Big Louie" or "King Louie". From an early age Luis worked as a Mason. He loved fishing, hunting, keeping roosters and chickens and watching westerns. He always had atlas maps, mechanic books and loved tinkering with motors. His family will always remember their road trips to south Texas.
Luis is predeceased by parents- Manuel and Manuela Vasquez, daughter- Angela Vasquez, grandson-Tripp Vasquez, brothers- and Carlos and Manuel.
He had two children- Angela and Louis Vasquez. On February 24th, 1983 he married Connie Vasquez, who had 4 children of her own -Maria, Jose, Rosa and Carlos, and their families were then blended. Luis and Connie went on to raise four children of their own- Laura, Leslie, Mason and Lawton. He is also survived by over 20 grandchildren.

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Glenn Reeve, Jr. of Friona, Texas. On November 16, 2023, at the age of 88, Heaven gained a great man. Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Union Congregational Church of Friona with Randa Reeves, officiating. Inurnment following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Glenn was born September 10, 1935 to Glenn and Allo Sparkman Reeve. He graduated from Friona High School in 1954. Glenn went to work for his dad and granddad at Reeve Chevrolet at a young age. He started as a mechanic and worked his way up to salesman. After Reeve Chevrolet Olds sold, Glenn went to work as a salesman for Friona Motors until its closing. He then went to work at Stevens 5 Star in Hereford, and worked for them until September of 2023. Glenn joined the Friona Volunteer Fire Department in 1956, and proudly served until his death. He served as Assistant Fire Chief for several years. Serving on the Friona Fire Department was something Glenn was incredibly proud of; he loved the people he worked with, helping his community, and serving others. Glenn was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud Papa, and an incredible friend and mentor to many.
Glenn is preceded in death by his wife, Carolin, a son, Jason Vaughn, and a brother, Joe Reeve.
He is survived by his daughters: Glenda Richards of Lubbock, Janna Preston of Lubbock, and daughter-in-law, Midori Vaughn of Anna; 3 granddaughters: Valerie Lopez (David) of Rio Rancho, Allison Fluck (Jonathan) of Rockwall, and Melissa Francis (Robbie) of Lubbock; 1 grandson: Duran Vaughan of Allen; 13 great-grandchildren: Jackson, Harrison, Owen, Ryan, Teddy, Toni, Juan, Nuriyah, Rylee, Parker, Brayden, Sabrina, and Marissa (Adam); 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Don Reeve (LaVon) of Graham and Max Reeve of Graham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Friona Volunteer Fire Department.
