Bette Ann Jones, 72, of Amarillo, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 11, 2020. She was born September 25, 1947, in Amherst, Texas, to Estis Bass and Zonah Anthony-Bass. Services were held on Tuesday, September 15, 10 a.m., at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, followed by a graveside committal service at Friona Cemetery in Friona, Texas at 1 p.m. The visitation was held from 4 - 8 p.m., on Monday, September 14 at the funeral home.
Bette is survived by her loving children, Marty Jones of Amarillo, Dodi (Derrick) Griffin of Linville, AL, Rusty (Michelle) Jones of Corpus Christi, TX; her dear grandchildren, Mitchell (Heather) Jones, Victoria (Robert) Bermudez, and Bethany Jones all of Fritch, TX, D'Kota Griffin, Hunter (Hailey) Griffin, Shyann Griffin, all of Linville, AL, Thomas Cronnon, Charlie Jones, of Corpus Christi, TX; her cherished great grandchildren, Allie and Amelia Jones, Kailey, Conagher, Kash, and Chancle' Griffin; Her fond siblings, Charles (Pat) Bass of Pea Ridge, AR, Troy (Kayrene) Bass of Canyon, TX, and Barbara Bass of Lubbock, TX.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Jones.
Bette was known for her great sense of humor, she was a very creative, talented person, who enjoyed arts and crafts. She had a very good time zip-lining and looked forward to doing more of it. Bette was a charitable person who loved spending time traveling, and especially enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting and adoring the majesty of the mountains. Another favorite past-time of hers was to go shopping, why, because she liked to. Most importantly to remember about Bette, was her strong Christian belief, she loved God.

Judith Ann (Judy) Dennis was born on May 31, 1942 to Alexander John and Lucy Frances Jesko, in the car on the way to the hospital in Clovis, New Mexico. It took a few years to get the official birth certificate! Judy was the seventh of ten children. She passed away on September 5, 2020 in Friona, Texas at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 4 days.
Judy attended Farwell Schools and graduated from Farwell High School in 1960. She attended Sacred Heart College in Wichita, Kansas and was twice elected President of her class. Besides leading class activities, Judy was a member of the Student Council, International Relations Club, and Women's Athletic Organization. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Secondary Education. Judy's teaching career spanned twenty years in secondary and post-secondary business education in Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas.
Judy was also employed at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. It was here that she met her husband, Jack Harold Dennis. They were married on June 4, 1983 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Amarillo, Texas. Judy and Jack made their home in Amarillo, Texas. After retiring, they moved back to the farm in the Muleshoe, Texas area in 2002.
Judy is a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, Texas.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Carolyn Jesko and Elaine Larson and 2 brothers, Donald Jesko and Kenneth Jesko.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Dennis. Two step-sons, Dwayne Dennis and wife, Sami of Dalhart, Texas and John Dennis and wife, Wendy of San Antonio, Texas. Three grandchildren, Kali and Kenzie Dennis of Dalhart, Texas and Jesse Dennis of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Billie Jean Glenn of Amarillo, Texas; Her brothers, Lee Dennis Jesko and wife, Brenda of Muleshoe, Texas; Wayne Jesko and wife, Liz of Muleshoe, Texas; and her BEST friend and brother Larry Jesko and wife, Sheri of Muleshoe, Texas; and sister, Debbie and husband, Dale Gallman of Bovina, Texas. And numerous Nieces and Nephews as well as all her special kids….you know who you are!
Judy was an amazing woman who made an important difference in many lives, especially for her brother, Kenneth. Kenneth was in a private school for special needs children in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Judy's move to New Mexico was made to spend time with him. She became a special friend to many children at the school and had multiple adventures with them. Kenneth loved spending the weekends with her.
While going through Judy's things a letter written to her in 1977 was found that explains it all:
Dear Miss Jesko,
My reason for this note regards my daughter, Jolene, who was a student in your class at Albuquerque High about three years ago.
Jolene is in her 3rd year of college now, majoring in education. She is developing into a delightful young woman. A great deal of her development now can be attributed to your special influence over her. If you had not taken an interest and helped guide her thinking toward college she might not now be so happy.
Jolene's father and I will be eternally grateful to you for what you did for her. My fervent hope is that someday Jolene can extend your great care and concern for students by helping someone as you helped her.
Judy influenced change in many of our lives and as her husband Jack says, "We had an incredible life, filled with love and no regrets." Thank you, Judy, for sharing your unending love with all of us.
Irene Perez, 64 of Bovina passed away September 13, 2020 in Amarillo. Viewing was held from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with Rosary Services set for 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Mass of Christian Burial Services scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Irene was born September 26, 1955 in San Angelo, Texas to Pablo and Genoveva Conanstancia Perez. Later in her life she married Adam Perez.
Irene was known as an extremely strong person that loved her siblings, husband, children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother-Alvino Perez.
Those to carry on her legacy include her husband Adam of Bovina, 3 daughters-Melissa Hernandez and husband Eddy of Friona, Monica Walker and husband Justin of Amarillo, and Katarina Guevara and husband Joshua of Friona, 1 son- Adan Perez and wife Sally of Amarillo, 3 brothers- Pablo Perez of Spearman, Willie Perez and wife Georgia of Amarillo, and Benny Perez of San Angelo, 4 sisters-Sally Zapata and husband Gilbert of San Angelo, Emma Davila and husband David of Friona, Nelia Garza of San Angelo and Jenny Perez of Ottumwa, Iowa, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
